Whe had some issues with LibreOffice on the PinePhone:

He is described how they can be resolved:

1. Control boxes and menus not working:

«At least few months ago Libreoffice worked better with Flatpak version (vs. the apk version)»

2. Menus and boxes out of reach on the Phone screen

3. Cannot control drop down menu

menues can be controlled by a Bluetooth mouse.
Unfortunately, there is no recommendation yet for a Bluetooth mouse for the PinePhone.

Avoid Bluetooth devices higher than 3.0 (no 4.0 or BLE devices)
try old Bluetooth 3.0 devices from well known manufacturers (Logitech, Microsoft)
if there are problems to find a reliable mouse, you can control LibreOffice by key commands
