1500. The last scientific paper about smartwatches which is worth mentioning for us personally was published in 2019

2019 was the year the Polar OH 1 has been released & the most interesting papers about smartwatches where published we know.

Shortly after Rob ter Horsts review about the Polar H10 Scientific Review: Best for Heart Rate (99.6% Accurate), date of publications on YouTube 01.07.2022, one year ago:

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org wrote a review about smartwatch accuracy, which was very negative:
