The Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) highly appreciates co-workers from foreign countries. Whe as Swiss highly appreciate co-workers from all countries around the world. We previously have discussed the Facilities of the Mediation Reserach Institute Switzerland:
On the left site of the building our Institute has rented one room. But we have neighbours from all around the world in this building. And these are a post-doc molecular biologist from India who works for a Swiss environmental research institute, a post-doc mathematician from Vietman who works for the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, and his wife from Vietnam who is an economist who works there as well.
Then we have also a Spanish guest worker in the house who is an Engineer. But unfortunately he broke his hand and cannot work. So he sit’s always in the kitchen, is smoking and is talking to his wife in Spain on the phone in Spanish languague.
Altough it is strongly forbitten to smoke in the house.
We talked to him, and then he said he has a problem with Swiss german. Then Peter Gamma talked to the other scientists in the house. The Vietnamese scientists had no problem with the Spanish engineer who was smoking in the kitchen, which is forbitten, but the scientist from India and Peter Gamma. The Indian Molecular Biologist said he had already complained at the landlord about the Spanish Engineer who was sitting in the kittchen and was smoking, but he said that nothing happened after his complaints.
Fortunately we are not powerless against the kitchen smoker. In the rental agreement of the house it says smoking is strongly forbitten in the house. And if the rental agreement is violated the violator has to leave the house immediately accompanied by the Police.
But the Spanish engineer seem not to have unterstood the rental agreement, which is only available in German and English but not in Spanisch. So if he does not change his behaviour he has to leave the house immediately.
