Which office application can be recommended for mobile phones?

For us personally it is Softmaker from Germany:

https://www.softmaker.com/en/

made apps for Android phones and the iPhone which have been ported from their desktop applications for Windows and Linux. Softmaker Office is similar to older versions of Microsoft Office. The Android apps where at the beginning if we remember correctly about 10 USD each, now they are free.

We tested LibreOffice, Abiword and Gnumeric on the Pinephone.

LibreOffice on the Pinephone

LibreOffice on the Pinephone would be great. But it needs to be adapted for the Pinephone screen. LibreOffice deleted posts of the MRIS about this topic in their forum for reasons we do not know and seems not to support us. We currently cannot recommend LibreOffice for the Pinephone.

Abiword on the Pinephone

Works on the Pinephone screen. But the functions it offers are very limited. And keyboard shortcut support is also very basic. Abiword development has stopped basically 10 years ago.

Gnumeric on the Pinephone

Works on the Pinephone screen as well, and the situation with shortcuts is a bit better. But as Abiword development for Gnumeric has stopped basically 10 years ago.

Office mobile with LibreOffice on Linux phones would be great. But no one has adapted LibreOffice to the Pinephone screen to this date.

For us personally Softmaker Office on Android phones is the preferred choice, since it offers as far as we know the same functionality as their desktop counter parts. And if we can remotely control an Android phone over SCRPI we have basically a full desktop app on our Android phone. And if we additionally have NextCloudPi we have a well established solution for file transfer which is based on a private cloud which offers also a good solution for file backup.
