Which is currently the most accurate sports watch to do a scientific validation study, and which testing protocol should we choose?

Ask Rob ter Horst. According to our own little experience, the treadmill protocol used in this paper of Dr. Desais group is the best evaluated protocol for this purpose:

Different studies with sports sensors have choosen a great variety of testing protocols:

If we study this journal, we can see that there are problems with ECG motion artifacts. But not in the mentioned paper of Dr. Desais group.

If cardiologists, physiologists and athletes at the highest level can live with it, to have a validation paper for a certain sports watch on a treadmill up to 15 km/h, they could choose this protocol. We as meditators would be completely happy which such a paper. For our application, we do not need a validation paper with strong body movements.
