I am currently involved in a conflict with neighbours. And there seem to be a Police investigation going on. I tested many privacy tools, and tools like Mulvad which is one of the best rated VPN providers and Tor as well as Whonix.
These tools did not help much in my case:
Privacy Guy Rob Braxman says these tool do not help if you are a criminal. I am not a criminal. But I do not have yet a lawyer to complain about the loss of my privacy which is horrible:
I suppose the Police is helping me in my case and give me the signs that I should care about getting privacy back.
The best information I found regarding this topic was from David Bombal in an interview with a hacker which I cannot find anymore:
In this interview a hacker said tools like Mulvad and TOR do not help much. This is also my experience as I describe it here. There are solutions for companies to protect the privacy, but they are very expensive.
The worst experience I made was with the YouTube queue of videos which seem to be completely under the control of the Police in my case. So I switched off the YouTube history. And the same applies to Google News. There where days when I found there only news from the Police. So I use Brave News instead. And I avoid products from Google Inc. as much as possible.
