There where previously studies which have shown that it is difficult to make money out of EEG devcies in the low-cost segment, especially devices which contain the Texas Instruments ADS1299 EEG chip. We have reviewed a lot about this topic in our journal.

According to our own little experience it is very difficult to make money out of devices which contain the Texas Instruments ADS1299 EEG chip, but many tried it. Where they successful?

We therefore suppose the most successful devices will be those which are open source devices. How to start building these is described for instance here:

Is this not a project which is also interesting for YouTube video makers, demo makers, paper writers and software develpers, product developers, and software developers such as those of Neurokit 2?

Isn’t it the better stragety to devleop open source soft- and hardware based on single electronics components, write paper about it, etc.

And if such a project is established, product develpers, scientists etc. can build their own development on such a project which is built up on solid ground. A ground which is eventually more solid than the ground of the Texas Instruments ADS1299 EEG chip.
