According to our own little experience there are YouTube video makers which have hardly any ethical standards. But we have to admit we did not a intense search for such statements, also in the other organisation we critizised. But from the Swiss Catholic Church we found such comments immediatley.
As we watched several YouTube videos we mentioned in our journal, we missed ethical standards in those and we suffered from that.
If it should turn out for instance that a YouTube video maker is supported from social insurance fonds in one way or the other and has to or can make YouTube videos, but then he publishes YouTube videos which contain only half the truth, and if we would know the whole truth would we not label it as:
«paid promotional video»
And as something which for instance a YouTube video maker which is a scientist by profession does for fun and in his spare time? We where looking for ethical standards as a guidline and found those taught by Soygal Rinpoche helpful:
Until we found out that Soygal Soygal Rinpoche himself was accused to violate ethical standards. He has been accused of sexual and physical assault and abuse, as well as misusing charitable funds.
Other spiritual leader have been accused as well:
Among the accused is the Swiss Catholic Church. And we welcome the commens of Swiss Bishop Joseph Maria Bonnemain which say:
- these thinks cannot be forgiven, we have to life with it
- he announced that an independent reporting agency is created. Which victim of the members of the Swiss Catholic Church reports to the organisation of the members from which they where victims? It is easier for victiums to report to independent reporting agency.
- Furthermore the Swiss Catholic Church forbits document destruction which was performed in the Swiss Catholic Church to protect perpetrators
- As well as further steps
We welcome these comments of Swiss spiritual leader and Bishop Joseph Maria Bonnemain. But where are the leaders of 3HO, Ripga and AMRIT NAM SAROVAR who do the same? We have to admit that we did not do a intense research about this topic. But we did not do this either with the Swiss Catholic Church. But there we found such comments immediately, but not with the other 3 organisation.
And we miss such comments about ethical standards about Youtube video makers of well as independent reporting agencies if these YouTube video makers should be funded by social insurance companies.
