Sports sensors not interesting for applications where high accuracy is necessary?

What is the stragedy of current sports sensor accuracy validators? Is it that they know that there are problems with research and medical grade ECG devices:

and ECG movement artifacts, but they are silent about it? And that they have chosen to use measurement methods that are not very accurate for that reason, and keep silent about it either?

If so, this makes sports sensors, sports sensor accuracy validators who are silent about this topic, and scientific studies who are silent about this topic, not interesting for scientific studies where high accuracy is required.
