Richard J. Davidson (born December 12, 1951) is an American psychologist and professor of psychology and psychiatry at the University of Wisconsin–Madison .

The Ig Nobel Prize (/ˌɪɡnoʊˈbɛl/ IG-noh-BEL) is a satiric prize awarded annually since 1991 to celebrate ten unusual or trivial achievements in scientific research. Its aim is to “honor achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think.” The name of the award is a pun on the Nobel Prize, which it parodies, and on the word ignoble.

And the Ig Nobel prize of the MRIS is a special price of the MRIS derived from the Ig Nobel prize. And the only person who received it to this date is Richard J. Davidson.

The MRIS does not know if all of what Richard Davidson says on YouTube and has not been published in Nature or Science is true. But we honour him with the Ig Nobel prize of the MRIS for his videos on YouTube. The MRIS does not blame Richard Davidson to have said something wrong on YouTube. But do not some of his speaches on Youtube make simple people believe in a miraculous effect of meditation? And do not some meditators believe in the fairy tail that 20 minutes of daily mediation practices can perform miracles? But Richard Davidson keeps silent about the time which spiritual leaders at the olympic level teach their students to practice daily:
