(*1) The WIFI shield OpenBCI GUI connection works, but the old WIFI shield has issues & is since about two years not available from OpenBCI. There is a new denoised & power improved version available on Aliexpress.
(*2) We do not know why the cable version is not recommended by OpenBCI. If it is the only reason that it is not save for humans to connect OpenBCI to a PC which is connected to high voltage, and we can take the risk to be harmed by a laptop which is disconnected from high voltage and which is purely battery powered, whe can connect OpenBCI through a cable version to a purely battery powered laptop. Do it on your own risk.
