How to get treadmill sensor data & ECG & EEG data into one database for data analysis?

Last Updated on March 27, 2024 by pg@petergamma.org

One of the most interesting devices for really serious scientists are treadmills. The most affordable low-cost high-quality treadmill we know for Swiss costumers is the ADVG Curved Treadmill from UK:

  • A highly accurate speed sensor can be found here:

  • Consumer grade treadmill speed sensors are not accurate enough for home labs of physiologists.
  • One big issue for a physiologist like peter gamma from www.petergamma.org is to bring sensor data from a treadmill into the same data base as EEG data from our brain. If we look at these pictures:

  • We can see that many managed already to solve this problem. But all of these look rather complicated at first sight. This Sensor (Basel) paper is a bit simpler:

We found here a solution for a treadmill with ECG in the Dr’s Toy Store:

But unfortunately this device costs 23 000 USD. Do you have a solution which more affordable? Write it in the comments below, or write an e-mail to pg@petergamma.org.
