  • Is there something different with this setup than with the previously described LattePanda with 7 inch touch display or 10 inch non touch display and Lubunut? Yes, this instruction offers a complete guide how to build a mini PC which runs Windows 10, and all components which are shown in the instruction can be bought from DFRobot.
  • This instruction uses a different screen than the 10 inch screen we mentioned before which is connected over DSL flat cable to the LattePanda V1.
  • It offers a 3 d printed case which we can printed out by ourselves to build a SBC in the form of a 10 inch monitor with stand:
  • It contains the 10 inch display in the list of accessoires for the LattePanda V1 with controller board, audio amplifier, speakers and button board:

  • the display is Raspberry Pi compatible wih a HDMI in.
  • It connect over HDMI from the LattePanda V1 to the HDMI input of the screen controller, which is mounted at the back of the screen.
  • The controller offers also a VGA input.
  • The screen offers an audio amplifier and two speakers.
  • The LattePanda V1 is mounted at the back of the screen.
  • The 10 inch screen is a 1280*800 IPS display
  • The device is specially designed monitor for LattePanda which incudes everything.
  • A 7.5~12V DC power adapter is needed for this screen.
  • The screen controller offers an audio port where the speakers can be plugged in.
  • a Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) cable connects the screen to th contoller board.
  • This instructions shows how to plug a LVDS cable which connects from the display to to the screen driver board:
  • The monitor offers a button boad which is connected to the screen controller.
  • It is it’s just a display, but you can pair a touch panel with it.
  • This is a different display than the 10 inch display whe mentioned previously, which is connected over DSL flat cable to the LattePanda V1:

  • The LattePanda V1 screen is connected over HDMI to the screen controller board
  • The screen comes with audio speakers.
  • The speakers are connected over the included cable to the screen controller board, which includes an audio amplifier.
  • The 10 inch display is glued onto the 3 d printed case where the controller is screwed to and the LattePanda V1.
  • The audio goes over HDMI from the LattePanda V1 to the screen controller with audio amplifier and from there to the speakers.
  • There is a board with buttons plugged into the screen controller board to control the screen.
  • The installation of the board with buttons is not shown in the instructional video.
  • The screen controller board needs a separate power supply.
  • The instruction shows that the mini PC is connected over HDMI to the LP and runs Windows 10.
  • We do not know if this screen also works with Lubuntu, this depends on if somebody confirms that HDMI works with Lubuntu and the LP.
  • In the comments a DFRobot supporter says that we can add a touch overlay to the 10 inch screen and plug it in to the touch screen connector on the LP, but we do not know if touch support works on this path and how we can can modifiy the touch controller software to support a 10 inch screen.

Summary:

We can see at the end of the instructional video, that the LattePanda V1 and the video controller can be mounted at the back of the 3 d printed case of the 10 inch monitor. So we have a LattePanda SBC with 10 inch display in the form of a 10 inch monitor which runs Windows 10. The instruction says the built in speakers are quiet loud. This device has an audio amplifier and audio speakers. The instruction also includes a board with buttons to control the display controller board. The instructionional video does not show how to attach the controller board with the buttons, but it is shown in the .pfd instructions. With this controller board, we can eventually ajust the volume.
