How many channels are necessary for a «commercially available sleep system» ? – OpenBCI with 16 channels is enough

has built a sleep lab for less than $1000 with OpenBCI:

So it should in theory be possible to build with OpenBCI a «commercially available sleep system» with 16 channels. SpiSOP is a Matlab software. But there is also sleep software in Python available. We did not find a straightforward device and solution which is somewhere published in a paper yet. So study the literature for further information.
