Are there any EEG devices which are not controlled by Texas Instruments or YouTube video makers?

Since severeal years we are reviewing EEG products. And a lot of new products came onto the market which where offered on YouTube, somewhere in the web, and some in papers which have a conflict of interest. Every product we whish seem to be on the market. But in which of those can we trust?

Our trust is gone in products like this after we have experienced wad has happened to the Dreem2 headband. And who knows if the PiEEG which recently was advertised for $350 to come onto the market in mid summer 2024 for $350 will cost 10 000 USD as soon as someone uses them for research applications? 10 000 USD as Biosemi Active 2 amplifiers with 8 channels cost.

Are all of these EEG devices controlled by Texas Instruments? Are there any EEG devices which are not controlled by Texas Instruments, especially those containing the TI ADS1299 EEG chip? Our trust is gone in devices which contain the ADS1299 EEG chip. But where can we find EEG devices without the ADS1299 EEG chip? Unfortunately not yet from How To Electronics. But here is a good starting point to build those by ourselves:

We simply have to replace the ECG chip by an EEG chip. But first ask an engineer about it if this does not require some special pre-amplifiers before you start soldering. But we think what Hugo Plácido da Silva from BITalino could develop, we can do it as well. Since every product whe whish comes onto the market very soon after we published our wish in our journal. And if device developers can build these devices so easily, can we not do this as well?
