Are We at the End of the Meditation Research Project – No, it is Just the Beginning of a Project Which Could Become a Nobel Price Topic Sooner or Later

Arnaud Delorme who did research about meditation talks in the following video about the future of the meditation research project:

And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has critizised the scientific studies of Richard R. Davidson they performed during the last 20 years:

And our criticism is that the scientific studies as well as the scientific tools which where used during the last 20 years by the group of Richard R. Davidson are too limited for having excellent results. So is this the end of the meditation research project?

No, it is just the beginning of this new and exciting project.

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is interested in this topic since around 20 years. And one key finding was for us personally that according to the Buddhist teachings:

“We are only completely mentally healthy if we are completely enlightened.”

And is this not a very interesting statements for scientists and medical doctors around the world who are interested in mental health? A method to reach complete mental health? Which which psychiatrists have to offer this?

And if someone would find a scientific method to reach complete mental health, would he not be a candidate for a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine immediately?

One problem in this context is that enlightened meditators are hard to find. Are there any meditators who say “I am enlighened”?

Even Sadhguru does not say about himself that he is enlighened. But only people who went through such experiences have a relatively relaxed relationship to the term enlightened.

And where are the meditators in Switzerland at that level to do scientific studies about meditation at the level of a Nobel Prize? We are only able to mention Lama Pema Wangyal, Loten Dahortsang and Rita Riniker in Switzerland in this context. They practiced for 15 – 17 years of their lifes. If we would search for such people more in debth, would we not find more of those? So that we could start a meditation reserach project at the level of a Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

The Buddhist teachings are taught around the world since 2 500 years. And these teachings continue to spread around the world. And would this happen for such a long time, if there would not be something in it which is very extraordinary?
