One of the authors of the paper «RR interval signal quality of a heart rate monitor and an ECG Holter at rest and during exercise»:

of the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM is Thomas Wyss. Wyss is a former Swiss soccer player and current coach. Did he coach the paper?

Was Wyss so convinced that the Polar H10 is the most accurate heart rate sensor, that he even could convince Rob ter Horst, PhD:

that the Polar H10 is 99.6 % correct, and the best heart rate sensor, whereas Holter ECG monitors:

are terribly inaccurate and cannot be trusted at all?

Or was the coach of the paper Thomas Wyss, Swiss Federal Institute of Sport Magglingen SFISM, PhD?

Whatever. It is hard to believe that Holter ECG devices, for instance a 12 channel ECG device:

should be less accurate than a Polar H10 chest strap. Did the group from Magglingen have a problem with ECG motion artifacts? Other scientific studies did not have problems with ECG device accuracy, as several papers show.
