The paper is one of the most interesting paper about low-cost high-quality 32 channel EEG devices which we found and has the title:
«Development of electroencephalography (EEG) data acquisition system based
on FPGA PYNQ»
And describes how to build a 32 channel EEG device from four Texas Instruments ADS1299EEG-FE 8 channel EEG modules and a FPGA PYNQ single board computer, and
was published in 2019 on Research Gate Net:
In the paper it says, the research was supported by
The Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, PDUPT Research Grant 380/UN2.R3.1/HKP05.00/2018 and Universitas Indonesia
But the tragic part of it:
If we compare the Economy of Indonesia:
«As an upper-middle income country and member of the G20, Indonesia is classified as a newly industrialized country. Estimated at over 21 quadrillion rupiah in 2023, it is the 16th largest economy in the world by nominal GDP and the 7th largest in terms of GDP (PPP).»
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economy_of_Indonesia
to the economy of Switzerland:
“Switzerland is one of the world’s wealthiest countries, with a GDP per capita that outstrips that of other major economies, like the U.S., Japan and Germany. It is also home to some of the richest citizens in the world, with a mean wealth of $696,604 per adult — and a steep cost-of-living to match.”
We can see that something is wrong. The Meditation Research Institute Switzerland (MRIS) who has no grant for research, here shown it s facilities:
Is very happy about this paper from the Indonesian scientists and suggests that they should write a new paper a soon as PiEEG with 8 channel is available and write a new paper according to this instruction:
But is this not a tragedy? Swiss Scientists hope that Indonesian scientists will publish a new paper about this topic, soon? But we hope that also other scientists from around the world are interested in this topic, participate and write new papers soon how to build a 32 channel EEG device from Raspberry Pi and PiEEG.
Thanks for reading.
