We do not know of a proof that is possible as on a Pinephone:
Issues
- A major issue for this is that we do not know of a proof for a Bluetooth (mini) keyboard which works on the Orange Pi 5. We have reported about this in our journal.
- A solution to solve this problem is to use a usb keyboard, as programmer Roberto Alsina did this with the Radxa zero:
http://ralsina.me/weblog/posts/so-i-built-a-laptop.html
- The other issue is to have a proof for an Office application on the Orange Pi 5 wich works.
- There is a video which shows that Libre Office runs on a Orange Pi 5 running Armbian.
- But we do not know of user who report that they use this.
- This might because we do not know of a mobile keyboard which works for the Orange Pi 5.
- This is for us personally a reason not to buy an Orange Pi 5.
- A major issue for the Orange Pi 5 is also the absence of a good user forum.
- Our account in the Armbian forum is locked, and we do not know why
- We therefore are looking for a solution based on Ubuntu and not on Armbian for the Orange Pi 5.
- There are several videos for Ubuntu on the Orange Pi 5 available.
- We miss a proof that office applications as LibreOffice, Abiword and Gnumeric run on Ubuntu on the Orange Pi 5.
