  • The Pinephone keyboard was not perfect, as the Pinephone is not perfect.
  • One issue is that only one connector can be used, as far as I remember.
  • For instance an external usb keyboard or mouse can be plugged in.
  • But it cannot be charged at the same time.
  • This is not an issue which makes the device not usable.
  • If you are interested in the keyboard, report about it in the Pine64 forum:

  • And if you are interested in a repaired Pinephone keyboard, report there as well.
  • And if you are someone who is skilled enough to repair it, contact Pine64 and talk to those about that:
  • Another reason which was mentioned was a lack of demand.
  • But this is hard to believe.
  • In the Pine64 forum we can see that the topic.

  • This makes the Pinephone keyboard to the 3.th most viewed topic about the Pinephone.
  • That there is a lack of request of the Pinephone keyboard is hard to believe.
  • The Pinephone is one of the greatest Linux phone as a privacy phone due to it’s privacy DIM switches, which are unique in the price range of 200 USD Linux phones.
  • And it could one of the greatest Linux phones for Office applications.
  • But this requires a robust and professional keyboard which the Pinephone keyboard was.
