Raspberry Pi’s have lesser issues with Bluetooth peripherials than the Pinephone

Pinephone users have currently as the only option which is confirmed to work as a Bluetooth keyboard the

iGo Stoawy Bluetooth keyboard

which is 10 years old:

The Pinephone keyboard

wich is a wired keyboard had issues as well but is usable:

But Pine64 has pulled the Pinephone keyboard from the market without offering an alternative.

  • I have tested the Pinephone with a Bluetooth keyboard and a mouse.
  • I had issues with both with instable connection.
  • It reminded me of old and little developed devices which had issues with Bluetooth peripherals I tested in the path.
  • Much better is the situation with Raspberry Pi’s.
  • We do not know of issues with Bluetooth peripherals and Raspberry Pi’s.
  • Raspberry Pi OS has been developed over the last 10 years:

  • This might be the explantion that they work better with Bluetooth peripherials than the Pinephone.
  • The Pinephone distos have not been developed over 10 years.
  • It is most proably not a coincidence that a wired keyboard has been developed for the Pinephone, since wired keyboards have lesser issues than Bluetooh keyboards.

Raspberry Pi’s are often shown with Bluetooth peripherals, but not the Pinephone.
