You can find that out by compairing what Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has written unter PiEEG:

And compare it to what he has written over OpenBCI:

PiEEG started selling in November 2023 and then was pulled from the market again at the beginning of 2024, after Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org had critizised PiEEG. Peter is very critical, but criticism brings a product further. AndPeter supposes that PiEEG was pulled from the market to be updated after Peter has critizised it. The only critisim Peter currently has is that it is not available anymore. Furthermore shipping times for PiEEG where between one to one and a half years after it has been announced at the beginning 2023. We think that this has to with the fact that Texas Instruments or whoever profits from selling OpenBCI or PiEEG can currently still make more money out of OpenBCI than PiEEG.
Peter hopes that the PiEEG sellers are wise and keep the prices for PiEEG where it was when it was introduced at the beginning of 2023, and this was 350 USD for four channels and 450 USD for eight channels. Stock market speculations for new products is something negative and makes a lot of people retreat from products which are undergoing stock market speculation, and these are those who looking for an affordable solution.
Many of these problems could change if if sales rates from PiEEG increase compared to the sales rates of OpenBCI. Peter expects this to happen as soon as PiEEG is better known and easier to use for instance for beginners who usually don’t code. To change this it would be highly desirable that someone with good coding skills attaches OpenBCI GUI or other EEG software to PiEEG, and that PiEEG is made available again as soon as possible.
