OpenBCI modules which are sold on eBay and Aliexpress came onto the market three years ago. Three years later, whe have the tests of Stellarpower and Jenelson in the www.openbci.com forum, which failed to get it to work. And we have the instruction of alwayswearhats who managed to repair the Wifi shield. And then we have Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org who supposes that with the information which is available it is possible to repair the OpenBCI modules sold on eBay and Aliexpress. But this requires advanced soft- and hardware skills, and the will to study the OpenBCI architecture. OpenBCI modules sold on eBay and Aliexpress remained more or less stable over the last three years. We can see in the shops, that most often one or two modules are sold, and then the are re-listed. We suppose this could have something to do that only view are interested in EEG modules, as well as that most of these modules have issues and need to be repaired. And should PiEEG stay on the market, we suppose that this will also take time until it is tested similarly to the OpenBCI modules sold on eBay and Aliexpress.
