- Daniel Goleman explains in simple words Richard Davidsons PNAS paper from 2004:
https://www.pnas.org/doi/full/10.1073/pnas.0407401101
- Here Richard Davidson explains what they did in 2024 in the example of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche:
- In this video Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche reports in his own words what happened in Richard Davidsons lab:
- Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche said there where about 17 Tibetan Buddhist monks investigated who flew from all over the world to the lab of Richard Davidson.
- Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche participated also as a research subject in Richard Davidson’s PNAS papers.
- Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche says in the following video: “Tibet produced not the word best football players as Brazil, but the world great spiritual masters”
- Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org suppose that many of these masters participated in the study about meditation which was published in PNAS.
- But then Richard Davidson did not continue to do research on the olympic level meditators, but ond the 20 minutes meditators.
- And then in 2017 Richard Davidsons book «Altered Traits» was released about the effect of 20 min daily meditation practice.
- This best selling book was not sufficient for a Nobel Prize in Medicine.
- Would this not have required to continue the research with the «world great spiritual masters” as Shechen Rabjam Rinpoche entiteled those?
- The world champions in mind training are those who had the highest levels of gamma waves in the left pre-frontal cortex.
- Matthieu Ricard, PhD. who also participated entiteled those world great spiritual masters as the world champions in mind training.
But for a Nobel Prize in Medicine would Richard Davidson not have needed to continue his work with the world champions and write Nature paper after Nature paper about this? But he didn’t. Maybe the next Richard Davidson will do it.
