For instance a refurbished treadmill from GE Healthcare:
- They are in stock from sellers who sell used medical products.
- But we do have to find out if they are still accurate. Eventually they are sold because they are faulty and do not fit the requirements anymore for medical grade devices.
- We could use this device to test it:
- But how can we find out if they are still accurate and can be used for scientific purposes before we buy those?
- But we think it is worth studying those. We can eventually buy one of those if the mechanics is still good and replace the treadmill motor by a motor of our choice.
- And eventually we will find at least a medical grade treadmill with good mechanics which can be repaired, updated, tested, the motor can be replaced and a 12 channel OpenBCI ECG device can be added.
- Then we can write a validation paper about it with someone such as cardiologist Dr. Milind Y. Desai from the Cleveland in Ohio whre we validate it with GE Marquette CASE Stress Test System.
- And we suppose we can build such a system for about 10 % of the cost of a new Case stress test system.
