If we look at Niklaus von Flue’s face, and compare it to Milarepa’s green face, we are asking the question:
Did Niklaus von Flue lead a very hard life in his cell where he retreated?
How much did Niklaus von Flue know about shamatha meditation? Von Flue lived in solitary retreat until in 1487 he died on the floor of his cell after a hard agony.
- Milarepa was attacked by familiy members & neighbours and escaped.
- Von Flue did not have these problems with his family.
