We have here a solution for an Ipad Pro to connect over usb–c to a Raspberry Pi 4:
Her it is shwon how this can be done with Android devices (at 07:03 in the video):
One issue which is mentioned in the video is how to power the tablet.
We found that Levono tablets have a connector for a docking station.
- Levono tablets with 10 inch can be bought used from UK starting from 75 USD shipping and import taxes to Switzerland included
- A new Lenovo Tab M10 FHD Plus (2nd Gen) with Amazon Alexa built-in is available for 139 USD in Switzerland:
The Dock HA-200 für Lenovo Smart Tab M10 HD Gen 2 – Alexa offers a power plug:
- This device has a resolution which is bigger than full HD, Raspberry Pi displays which cost the same usually do not have this high resolution.
- The tablet furthmore offers a battery pack which a running time of about 8 hours.
- Raspberry Pi displays use a lot of power, since the power saving options for Raspberry Pis are as far as we know limited.
- There is no connector left for keyboard and mouse, but we use Bluetooth keyboards and mice since years without any issues.
Developers welcome to connect this setup to the Raspberry Pi 4 over usb-c.
