Where is the competition for EEG devices up to 50 000 USD?

Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.or is interested in EEG devices up to 32 channels since several years. Many things happened during this time. He was for instance offered EEG boards with 32 channels with the TI1299eeg chip on Aliexpress for around 700 USD. This prize was somehow linked to the prize of a device built up from 32 TGAM EEG modules.

But then the Emotiv Flex with 32 channels came onto the market for around 1200 USD. And in parallel, the prize for the 32 channel EEG board on Aliexpress was increased as well to 1 200 USD.

The calculation for these prices seems to be very simple according to channel numbers, as in other examples:

And was it not like that, when ever Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org

gave a positive feedack about this board, it s prize increased? And it ended up at around 4 000 USD.

Peter supposse that this is around the costs for a 32 channel device from mBrainTrain. Peter never has asked for the prize for mBrainTrain devices, since he was not interested in those. Where the mBrainTrain devices especially developed for Peter? And are there other people interested in EEG devices from mBrainTrain? Since is the business model of mBrainTrain not to develop EEG devices for people like Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org? Devices he could in principle built by himself from InfluxDB and TGAM modules? So since the Aliexpress 32 channel Aliexpress board sellers started selling the 32 channel board to the same costs as the hardware costs of a 32 channel board built up from TGAM modules.

Was it their goal to control Peter what he will do, and to control how much money can be made out of him?

Will he buy the Aliexpress board, or will he build his own device from TGAM modules?

Peter did neither of these things, and reviewed about it.

And now he comes to the conclusion, that the best thing for him personally is to study how to build up a 32 channel EEG device from TGAM modules and InfluxDB:

Since did not the Aliexpress 32 channel board sellers who are experts in this field expect this from the beginning, when they started selling their 32 channel board?

And who can increase prizes for devices more or less arbitrarily? Only someone who controls the whole market for EEG devices, and for whom there is no competition? Since if he had a competitor, buyers would immediately buy from the competitor? And is this not once more an evidence for a violation of competition laws? That sellers link the costs of these EEG devices to each other? Something which is not allowed? But is this not a market which will slowly die, since buyers will start building theri own devices based on TGAM and InfluxDB?
