That is one reason why I was looking today for an affordable Pinephone until I replace it by a device based on the Raspberry Pi Zero w2.
- It will take time until I have a device which is a daily driver based on the Raspberry PI zero 2 w to use it as a writer.
- Eventually several years.
- As it has taken with the Pinephone to make it daily driver ready for writers.
- There where some Pinephones on Ricardo Switzerland.
- You can find those with google picture search “Pinephone” and “Ricardo”.
- There where about 4 -5 sold on Ricardo Switzerland during the last view years.
- I bought one of those.
- But currently non is available there anymore.
- The Pinephone Keyboard has been pulled from the market.
- I found one Pinephone Keyboard on eBay sold for 75 USD from Texas, USD.
- But the seller does not ship to Switzerland.
- This is the only Pinephone Keyboard I found on the whole planet.
- Pine64 EU sell refurbished Pinephones, but they are out of stock.
- A new Pinephone is listed there as well for 350 USD which is out of stock as well.
- Two Pinephones are sold on Ebay Germany, each 400 USD.
Is this not an insance price for a phone which was entiteled by the “Linux Cast” as “THIS PHONE IS BAD”.?
- There are several Pinephones available on eBay U.S. but all do not ship to Switzerland.
- There is an offer for 200 USD incl. docking from Pine64 for 200 USD which is available.
- I ordered my first Pinephone there.
- Incl. shipping and import it was around 350 USD.
- And I sold my first Pinephone without using it, since this phone was not worth that much for me personally.
- I invested a lot of time in the Pinephone.
- Installing LibreOffice, reviewing, etc. .
- Now it would be good in principle until I have a better device, which will most probably be a Rasbperry Pi zero 2 w.
- But I can’t find a used device which would be worth buying.
- So I will stay most probably with my Android phone and NextCloudPi.
It is a setup which is not mobile at all. I need a Raspberry Pi with NextCloud and a router to sync my files cloud-free to my PC to use it. But it is not worth to spend 350 USD to buy a 2.th Pinephone from U.S. to have a replacement if my 1.th Pinphone breaks. And I need at least 3 devices to be sure that at least one device works.
- Is Pine64 not interested in selling the Pinphone if we read my experience here?
- Is it really that difficult to offer the Pinephone Keyboard until a new one is available?
- And why do only some freaks such as Linux Cast make YouTube video demos about thePinephone?
- Since it is a specilialized Linux device, from which it is very difficult to make money out of it.
- But do not try too many to do it all the same?
- And are the issues Linux Cast described very convincing and in detail=
- It this not a very superficial statement, “this device is bad?“.
- Is this also part of a marking plan?
- First glorify the Pinephone, shoot it up and sell a large number of those.
- And then demonize it, as soon as users start to complain that it is not perfect phone?
- Why do not at least somewherer some researchers buy one or two for special applications and reports about it?
- We do not know of such reports.
First the Pinephone was glorified as a device “which can do anything”, but then it was demonized as a “bad device”. What is wrong with the Pinephone? The Pinephone is not a bad device, but it’s marketing.
- Are there any other reviews about the Pinephone as from reviewers who received a Pinephone for free in exchange for a biased review?
- But a Pinephone which can run LibreOffice, Abiword, Gnumeric and Word 97 is not a bad device:
- This is something Android phones can’t do.
- As well as writing to the external SD card.
- As well as to run a Samba server which allows to access files on the phone from a PC.
But all of this was hard work to find out about. Harder most probably than making YouTube videos which rate the Pinephone first as miraculous and then as a devil’s device.
Information for product sellers who do stock market speculation and scalping with products mentioned by Peter Gamma on www.petergamma.org
According to the little experience of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org, many of the products listed here are still full of issues which need to be resolved. If you do stock market speculation and scalping with those, you will loose Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org as a buyer of these products and as a reviewer. Is this not risky? Will you not loose a majority of your costumers as well?
And is it not so, that society in general does not accept stock market speculation and scalping with products as those which are listed here? And will you not be politically incapable of finding a majority of the voters if you do stock market speculation and scalping with these products?
And as a consequence will you not be condemned and punished by a political referendum soon? Especially if you do this to a Swiss, since are not majority of Swiss against stock market speculations and scalping with people on a budget? And people in Switzerland are known for a lot of political referendums, since we have direct democracy in this country.
And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org will fight up to the European Court of Human Rights against people who do stock market speculation and scalping with the products which are mentioned on www.petergamma.org. And if they do not have yet the legal basis there to do so, he will fight for it.
What is a scalper?
A scalper is someone who buys something and resells it at a price far above the initial cost. For instance some says: “He got theater tickets through a scalper”: Someone who buys tickets to an event in order to resell them at a profit. And is it not also scalping if you take reviews from this site to make out of it a new product offer, and sell it for a higher price? We doubt that you will be successful with it. Since Peter Gamma will review your product and will user not come back to www.petergamma.org after that?
