- PiEEG costs less per EEG channel than OpenBCI modules sold by www.OpenBCI.com is one advantage.
One of the PiEEG developers is Ildar Rakhmatulin, PhD, Heriot-Watt University,Edinburgh, Scotland

- Heriot-Watt is one of the most famous and top-ranked universities in the UK
- We suppose that there will not be stock market speculation with the PiEEG, as least not if bought from the developers
- It does not require a Bluetooth dongle as OpenBCI which is not suitable for fast EEG signals
- It does not require a Wifi shield. It is difficult to find an OpenBCI Wifi shield which is issue-free.
- It does not require a cable connection to OpenBCI GUI which is very little supported.
The PiEEG is a Rasperry Pi hat so that sensor data can be processed on a Pi without the need of further sensor streaming.
The four channel version will be available in about two month from now.
