We invite you to build your own 32 channel EEG device based on PiEEG

In 2018, six 6 years ago, scientists from Indonesia started publisheing papers on researchgate.net, where they developed EEG devices which are based on the ADS1299 EEG demo kit from Texas Instruments with 8 – 32 Channels:

8 channels EEG Data Aquisition System:

For 32 channels EEG Data Aquisition System :

EEG data acquisition system 32 channels based on Raspberry Pi with relative power ratio and brain symmetry index features:

  • These scientists came to the conclusion that they can develop their own 32 channel EEG device based on four Texas Instruments ADS1299 EEG demo kit boards and a single board computer.
  • They showed that they where able to build mult-channel EEG devices which liver data which are very close to data from a Neurostyle NS-EEG-D1 System.
  • From the results of the signal shape comparison between the two systems they showed that that signals of the EEG devices they have built themselves had similar shapes as the NEUROSTYLE EEG devices:

A Neurostyle NS-EEG-D1 devices currently cost on Aliexpress between 6 000 USD and 1 600 USD depending on the channel number (between 24 – 64 channels):

Following what we discussed previously, it should be possible to build PiEEG multi-channel devices which are free from noise following the example oft the Emotiv Epoc Flex 32 which is on the market since several years and works without noise with a wired connectivity:

The wired connectivity of the Emotiv Epoc Flex 32 channel device is recommended, since the device only supports Bluetooth 4.0 which has not enough bandwith to transmit the signals of a 32 channel EEG device.

We think it sould be easier to build the EEG devices the Indonesian scientists have built with PiEEG than with the TI ADS1299 EEG demo kit. The architecture is simpler and superior. Here we have discussed hwo this could be implemented:

The Indonesian scientists showed impressively, how 32 channel EEG devices can be made more affordable. And with PiEEG building such devices have become easier. It does not require daisy chain programming to read out the EEG data. And so easy, that also a physiologist like Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org believes taht he is capable of building such a 32 channel EEG devices from PiEEG. The devices of the Indonesian scientists where more complicated.

Warning to all PiEEG sellers. Do not increase the price for PiEEG now to thousands of dollars, since we have shown that it is eventually possible to build from it devices which cost up to 16 000 USD. And this because of these arguments:

We think PiEEG is an interesting and new product which is worth testing. And it remains interesting for us personally as long as the price for PiEEG does not go up dramatically and is adapted to the price of the Neurostyle NS-EEG-D1 System. If this would happen, Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org would choose other hardware which is based on InfluxDB instead. It is a bit more complicated to build, but these electronic components have been stable over the last view years, or even dropped slightly:

But we think also these InfluxDB devices will become easier in the future to build. Assuming for instance someone builts a 32 channel printed circuit board with 32 TGAM modules and amplifiers, which is designed for InfluxDB. This would make building 32 channel EEG devices based on InfluxDB much simpler.

Information for product sellers who do stock market speculation and scalping with products mentioned by Peter Gamma on www.petergamma.org

According to the little experience of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org, many of the products listed here are still full of issues which need to be resolved. If you do stock market speculation and scalping with those, you will loose Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org as a buyer of these products and as a reviewer. Is this not risky? Will you not loose a majority of your costumers as well?

And is it not so, that society in general does not accept stock market speculation and scalping with products as those which are listed here? And will you not be politically incapable of finding a majority of the voters if you do stock market speculation and scalping with these products?

And as a consequence will you not be condemned and punished by a political referendum soon? Especially if you do this to a Swiss, since are not majority of Swiss against stock market speculations and scalping with people on a budget? And people in Switzerland are known for a lot of political referendums, since we have direct democracy in this country.

And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org will fight up to the European Court of Human Rights against people who do stock market speculation and scalping with the products which are mentioned on www.petergamma.org. And if they do not have yet the legal basis there to do so, he will fight for it.

What is a scalping?

Scalping is a trading strategy in which an investor buys and sells a single asset multiple times throughout the day. The goal of a scalper is to make a small profit over a large number of small trades, rather than a huge profit on each individual trade.

What is a scalper?

A scalper is someone who buys something and resells it at a price far above the initial cost. For instance some says: “He got theater tickets through a scalper”: Someone who buys tickets to an event in order to resell them at a profit. And is it not also scalping if you take reviews from this site to make out of it a new product offer, and sell it for a higher price? We doubt that you will be successful with it. Since Peter Gamma will review your product and will user not come back to www.petergamma.org after that?
