The device was recently available for a bit more than 100 USD from Vernier:
But at the end we received it for about 250 USD in Switzerland due to higher costs through resellers. Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has tested the Go Direct Respiration Belt and it works. But the speciality of the device is that it continues monitoring when it is removed from the chest and is layed on a desk for another 30 min. Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org did not yet do any accuracy tests with the Vernies Go Direct Respiration Belt. We came to the conclusion that the easiest method is to count breath manually.
