There are developers who promote DiedPy for the Pi zero 2 w. We had a look at the software DiedPi offers:
https://dietpi.com/dietpi-software.html
But the software which is offered seems to be mainly for developers. The tweaks leepspvideo offers for the zero 2 w together with the Pi App store and and for instance Abiword and Gnumeric instead of LibreOffice would make out of the zero 2 a mini PC which is suitable for mobile applications, with long running time with a 10 000 mAh power bank:
If used with an Android phone as a screen as described previously. If the following issues are resolved:
issue 1:
issue 2:
issue 3:
usb capture cards to use the zero 2 w as a Pi screen are bulky. Eventually an ethernet cable with the required adapters is heandier. But it needs to be tested if it works.
issue 4:
If you have time, you can try if you manage to connect the zero 2 w to an Android phone over usb-c. This would be the handiest solution, as it has been done by Tech Craft with a Pi and an iPad. You can do this with the termux app and sniffing out the ip adress, as shown byTch Craft on his YouTube channel, or testing if this works with a static ip adress.
If these issues are resolved, we are not far from a Pi zero 2 w as a mini PC for mobile applications which is not much bigger than an Android phone and runs in idle more more than 24 hrs on a single charge of a 10 000 mAh.
