The never ending story of single board computers who nobody works with as a daily driver?

Since several years we are reviewing single board computers, starting from the PinePhone to the Rapsberry Pi, to the Radxa zero to the LattePanda Delta to the Orange Pi 5.

  • A tendency which we observed that most of these devices where promoted on YouTube, partly by many YouTube demo makers.
  • These devices where tested and reviewed.
  • issues appeared with these devices.
  • but many devices just stayed devices with issues, which where never resolved.
  • eventually because it is not worth it
  • what rather happened was, that new devices came on the market.
  • and then these devices where tested by reviewers, but much more happened.

Currently we became interested in the Orange Pi 5. But we where before interested in the Radxa zero. Until we found out, that it is a device which is not developed for our own special application, and will it be ever?

  • And now we stand at the same point the the Orange Pi 5.
  • Will the issues of the Orange Pi 5 resolved, so that the device becomes a device which we can work with as a daily driver?
  • We stood at the same point with the Radxa zero, until we became interested in the Orange Pi 5, and started to comparing these devices:

And now whe are asking the question, is this process a never ending story?
