Now Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has found out about Rob ter Horst’s brain scanner. He has none in his lab. Hed did only have access to one for 1.5 years:
«
My name is Rob ter Horst.
- I am a scientist who is life-logging and quantifying everything about my body, mind and surroundings.
- My measurements take more than 11 hours a week and include a weekly brain MRI, sleep EEG and gut microbiome composition.
- I am quite possibly doing the ultimate “quantified self”.
- As a scientist I specialise in biological informatics, which means I write computer programs to analyse data.
- I now use these skills to learn more about myself and I try to improve my life.

- I was invited by Pint of Science to give a presentation about my self-tracking / quantified self (QS) project.
- For the last 1.5 years I tracked everything in my life, including weekly MRI-scans, weekly brain-EEGs and weekly microbiome measurements.
Combined this takes me 11 hours a week. I’ll continue doing these measurements for another 9 months.
Rob ter Hort did this for more than 2 years in total.
