The Mango Pi MQ as a Raspberry Pi zero w 2 alternative?

Last Updated on September 7, 2023 by pg@petergamma.org

The main issue was for us personally not to choose the Mango Pi MQ quad for our application was that:

  • we do not know if Bluetooth and WIFI works with it:
  • and we suppose that it takes more time to use a Mango Pi MQ quad than a Rasperry Pi zero W2.

But the issue with the Rasperry Pi zero W2 is the small amount of RAM and the politics of Raspberry how to deal with costumers. We will therefore oberve the Mango Pi MQ quad and eventually replace the Raspberry Pi zero w 2 with the Mango Pi quatt for our application sooner or later.

The MQ qad offers 1 GB of Ram, 4 x 1,5 GHz, 2 x usb – c and is available:

The Raspberry Pi zero 2 w offers only 512 MB RAM, 4 x 1,0 GHz, 2 x micro usb and is currently only available in selected Spanish speaking countries.
