Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is interested in Tibetan Buddhist monks since years. One of the most interesting person among this is Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche:
He meditated in solitary retreat for 13 years of his life and did a full-time training:
Then he wanted to stay in solitary retreat for the rest of his life. Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org dares to declares this experience as the enlightenment of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche. Enlightenment is not a scientifically clearly defined term. But Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org has no problem with this term, and many Tibetan Buddhist monks either. These are not scientists and use the term enlightenment on a regular basis, and they know what they are talking about. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was 28 years old when his enlightenment happened.
The successor of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche is Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche:
Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche has no problem with the term enlightnment either, what he explains in the above video. Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche is now over 30 years old, and Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org dares to declare him as an enlightened person as well.
Usually enlightened persons do not declare themselves as enlightened. But Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org declares here also Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche as enlightened.
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche was declared by others as enlightened. Why else would his student Matthieu Ricard PhD. write a book about Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche with the title:
Journey to Enlightenment: The Life of Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche (English Edition)
Unfortunately we do not have any brain scan data neither from Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche or Dilgo Khyentse Yangsi Rinpoche which proofs this. But Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org highly appreciates those two all the same as enlightened spiritual masters at the olympic level.
