After what we have experienced with OpenBCI, we ask ourselves, will OpenBCI disappear from the market? www.OpenBCI.com does seem for us personally not a company which is very fit and wants to survive. If we look to all the devices on the market, it is as if there is a market stragedy behind many strange things.
Who will buy a OpenBCI Galea for 20 000 USD? Is this device really worth that much?
And what would happen, if www.OpenBCI.com disapears from the market. We have to buy Neurosity Crown or g.tec medical Unicorn black.
Both devices do not fit to our needs. The g.tec medical multipurpose with 32 channels for 50 000 USD would fit our needs, but we do not want to spend that much for a device for mediation research, a research field for which it is difficult to find a research grant.
OpenBCI modules are not far from that what would fit to our needs. But we miss an issue free OpenBCI wifi shield. But we do not hear other voices who do that, either. Only now and then one or the other user.
For those interested in those modules, we suggest to backup as much as you can from www.OpenBCI.com
We ask ourselves also, if it is not easier to build up new EEG devices from scratch with single EEG modules. If our target is InfluxDB, we suppose so.
