Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org learned almost 20 years ago about the effect of practicing meditation in the following PNAS paper:
https://www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pnas.0407401101
But where does meditation research stand in the year 2024? Richard Davisons books «Altered Traits» has been published in 2017:
But is this all? The hypothesis of Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org is that most probably rich people, or pharmaceutical companies, have done some secret meditation brain scan studies, and know that to become enlightened requires about 13 years full-time training. And enlightement is according to the Buddhist teachings equivalent to be completely mentally healthy. This also fit’s with the fact that «Altered Traits» was published exactly 13 years after the PNAS paper from Richard Davidson about meditation has been published in 2004.
And some of these rich meditators or rich pharmaceutical companies perform full-time training meditation studies, as for instance Rob ter Horst, who quantifies his brain data in a brain scanner:
Next to selling smartwatches on YouTube for fun and in his spare time. Together with some rich friends, or eventually some friends which are funded by pharmaceutical companies, who sell similar outdated devices on Youtube? And the rich friends of Rob ter Horst do secret brain scan meditation studies as well for pharmaceutical companies?
Brain scan meditation studies only for rich people and pharmaceutical companies, and for all others «Altered Traits» by Richard Davidson? No, meditation brain scan studies should be funded publicly, and the results should be available for everyone.
