Buddhist meditation teachings are very vast. We find a great diversity of teachers and teachings for instance also in Switzerland. So it is with Kundalini Yoga. There we have Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan.
We have the Kundalini Research Institute with the library of teachings:
https://www.libraryofteachings.com/
with a library of about 20 000 teachings.
We have similar libraries for Buddhist teachings:
https://www.thebuddhistsociety.org/page/library
We do not know if the number of Buddhist teachings is known. Soygal Rhinpoche says the Buddhist teachings are written down in 200 books.
We have only view meditation practices where there is a scientific proof of it s effectiveness. We have for instance the
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program by Jon Kabat-Zinn
Jon Kabat-Zinn made a PhD. In Molecular Biology, before he began to teach mindfulness meditation to help people better deal with stress, anxiety, and illness.
2. Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy by Zindel V. Segal
which was developed for the treatment of depression and has been scientifically proofen. But still we have more teachers in Switzerland which teach Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan as teachers who teach Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy as taught by Zindel V. Segal.
3. Richard Davidson studied the relationship between practicing meditation and changes in the brain
Davidson did brain scanner studies about the effect of meditation. We suppose that his work will inspire more new projects to study meditation on a scientific basis, which eventually will lead to teachers who teach meditation based on scientific findings.
