- We have previously described how to optimally charge a Pinephone with a Pinephone battery keyboard, and that is to charge both parts separately.
- The following observations where made on a Pinephone running postmarketOS stable.
- The Pinehone has a charging indicator which indicates when it charges.
- But if it is fully charged, it starts discharging. A blue light starts to flash, and in the the power settings it says it is discharging. After one night of discharging connected over usb-c the Pinephone discharged to 65 %.
- To charge it again to 100% we have to unplug the usb-c cable and plug it in again.
- When we looked at the charging level when we led it charge continously the charging level while discharging stayd near to 100%.
We use a special cable to see if the battery keyboard is still charging:
- We have charged both parts keyboard and phone. But when we put keyboard and phone together, the battery indicator of te Pinephone says «60 percent» charged, altough we tried hard to get both the battery keyboard and the Pinephone fully charged.
