After ETA PRIME showed us the brilliant the Pi Pad 5 on YouTube:
We bought such a device. A Pi Pad 5 with Raspberry Pi OS? Much easier than the Pinphone and much more affodable, that is what we thought after we sah ETA PRIME’s video. ETA PRIME’s title of his YouTube video:
«Raspberry Pad 5, You Can Easily Build An Awesome Cyber Deck With This!»
But here is the result when we tried to install Raspberry Pi OS on it:
We where not able to install it on it after a first attempt. Why should we try a second time, there are so many alternatives available:
Also StoneTime from Germany reviewed the Pi Pad 5:
he previously reviewed the Orange Pi 4:
His conclusion:
«Pi Pad 5, brilliant, but not for beginners, well documented, we can do more with it than building a display for 3 D printing monitors, we can do a lot of things with it.»
Unfortunately we do not have the time for further installation experiments. And we do not know if we are able to sell the Pi Pad 5 on Ricardo Switzerland either. There is another seller who wants to sell Pi Pad 5 for 45 USD there and nobody wants to buy it, we do not know if it is possible to sell another one. Therefore we keep it for later for Octoprint with Octodash. There is an instruction available on YouTube how to do this. Are there other applications for which it can be used for?
