says if we are born unhappy, we will not always be unhappy, we can change. And he reports about the scientific studies in which he participated. But are there any living examples or persons who confirm these scientific findings and these personal experiences by their own user reports? Or was it only the Dalai Lama the 14th and the around 17 long-therm meditators and Milarepa, Shantideva and Buddha who managed this by themselves and reported about this? But do we have any long-term scientific studies? It is a long-term human desire to be happy and find a way to achieve this. But where is the scientific way to do this? We only have user reports of view well known authors which inspire others to follow these.
Spiritual teacher and scientific guinea pig Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche says:
«Meditation is good for your life.
Why?
Happy mind,
healthy body,
is of course good for your life.
Your life becomes wonderful, joyful.
that is the benefit from meditation”.
But this needs to be verified with numerical and statistical scientific data. Our estimation after we did some research about this topic in the sources we could easily find is that this requires around 13 years of full-time practice as a young person. This does not have to be in one peace and can start with 5 minutes a day. And also older people can do this. And it requires furthermore around 4 hours of daily practice as a lifetime journey.
For a scientific proof of this, we need a statistical relevant group of persons who confirm this by their users reports as well as in scientific studies. Eventually a global study assisted by data scientists would be helpful to find the relevant parameters to solve this problem. But Richard Davidson with his Center of Healthy Minds in Madison with 100 people working there could not solve this problem in a way so that Swiss medical doctors can teach their patients who suffer from a mental illness or where born unhappy a scientific way how they can change to a happy person which is mentally healthy.
