Android phone, softmaker Office & SCRCPY (screencopy) for beginners who are looking for a solution for privacy mobile office

After we invested a lot of time in the Pinephone, LibreOffice and NextCloudPi to use it as a privacy phone for Office applications we suggest users with similar problems to use an Android phone with srcpi:

and to keep all your files on your android phone. If you want to copy those to your PC, you can simple drag and drop them via usb connection.

We have tested it with Softmaker Textmaker and Planmaker and it just worked. What is great that PC keyboard and mouse work out of the box as to control the Android phone with the Office applation. Softmaker Office for Android is similar to Softmaker office for PC. We did previously tests with the android app Airdroid, but we have given up Airdroid for our application since it did not work reliable for our application. We suggest to use srcpi instead.

The scrpy GITHUB:

https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy

shows issues of scrpy: 1600 open 2400 closed:

https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/issues

Which means that currently we have 4 000 users who have tested scrpy and have written issues, which says something about the popularity of scrpy.
