Why is meditation not integrated into the treatment of psychotherapists?

Do psychotherapists not mainly deprogram their patients? So did Osho, as he once said in one of his interviews. But do psychotherapists also teach their patients how to balance themselves?

Some psychotherapists are better than the others in balancing themselves, and some use strange device for this purpose:

But do not many psychiatrists take the easy way out and just offer drugs to their patients instead of knowledge?

And is this the explanation that some psychotherapists basically give up their patients after around 12 years?

Are their patients deprogrammed, but not balanced?

Sadhguru in contrast mentioned 12 years of hardship in India to become enlightened, which is according to the Buddhist teachings equivalent with being completely mentally healthy. Has what we describe here something to do, that in a rich countries such as Switzerland a patient who is supported for more than 12 years without having a job, the probability to find a job again is very low?

But is this a satisfying solution?

And here is the point where Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org

misses scientific data from Richard R. Davidson and others about the long-term effect of meditation. I mean REALLY NEW scientific data.

Twelve years of hardship in India to become enlightened which is according to the Buddhist teachings equivalent to be completely mentally healthy. And on the contrast, after 12 years psychotherapists give up their patients in the west.

Is this the blind spot of psychotherapists in the West?

Someone who has got it all is Jack Kornfield. He is a trained Buddhist monk, but he has also a Ph.D. in clinical psychology:

Is this what make Kornfield so popular and little controversial?

Another popular teacher is Tara Brach:

She is meditation teacher, psychologist and founder of the Insight Meditation Community of Washington and along with Jack Kornfield.

But where are the Jack Kornfields and the Tara Brach s in Switzerland?
