Matthieu Ricard: How to let altruism be your guide
“What is altruism? Put simply, it’s the wish that other people may be happy. And, says Matthieu Ricard, a happiness researcher and a Buddhist monk, altruism is also a great lens for making decisions, both for the short and long term, in work and in life”.
Matthieu Ricard once mentioned, Buddhist monks escaped from the lab (did Matthieu escape from lab, together with other monks, or was it only a joke?). Is there a chance Buddhist monks find their way back into brain scanning studies? And will they get a research grant from the Dalai Lama or some other wealthy person?
