And especially the latest videos seem as if they where targeted to us. For instanceRaspberry Pi connect has been updated which is great for a better control of the Pi’s

New touch screen display’s are available for the Pi’s which is great:

  • But we think we will choose a smartphone as a screen for Pi developments since they have an excellent power management.

And we would like to thank leepspvideo for being a Pi enthousiast for so many years. His YouTube videos are of high quality and very instructive.

Recently we discoved MotionEyeOS on his channel:

MotionEye to build a Home Security System

Peter Gamma is currently building a home security system in his home to protect him from theves.

Amcrest

  • He bought a Amcrest camera in the U.S: which was great.
  • The camera was around 500 USD.
  • Unfortunately he had no time to test it immediately.
  • And when he tested it he found that the antenny could not screwed to the camera, and wifi was not usable.
  • The camera was already out of warranty.
  • Amcest was not ready to take it back.
  • And I asked myself if Amcrest from U.S. sent us on purpose a faulty camera to Switzerland hoping I would not send it back, what happened.
  • But it sucks up to the present day.
  • Similar things happened with OpenBCI made in China modules.
  • We ordered a Bluetooth Dongle on Aliexpress.
  • But the seller has sent us a WIFI shield which is most probably faulty.
  • But it is not worth sending back do to high shipping costs.

Hikvision

  • So I changed to Hikvision system from China.
  • But the software which runs on a PC does not allow to record videos triggered by motion.
  • And I need this feature urgently.
  • The software offers taking pictures triggered by motion.
  • But often the object is not visible on this picture.
  • I had to buy a r HiLook recorder from U.K. which was around 80 USD extra to solve this problem.
  • This was the most basic device for Hikvision cameras which could solve this problem.
  • But the recorder is basic in general.
  • Exporting videos is a torture.
  • The device is complicated to use and little flexible.

And now we found motionEyeOS on leepspvideo:

  • It is great that we can built now our own security camera from Pi’s and control those with motionEyeOS.
  • MotionEyeOS runs on Pi’s and can record videos triggered by motion.
  • Amrest software on PC could that also, but not Hikvision.
  • It is great to have this feature back with MotionEyeOS.
  • After I had a look the the many options that are available for MotionEyeOS and MotionEye,
  • I will try to install the motionEye software on a Ubuntu PC.
  • So I can use an old PC which runs Ubuntu
  • It has has large hard drives to record videos on it which is great.
  • And the Amcrest and Hikvison cameras should work with it as well.
  • The Amcrest and Hivision cameras cannot be controlled by MotionEye.
  • But the basic functionality should work.
  • And I only need the function to record a video triggered by motion.
  • And the rest can be controlled with the software of the manufacturer.

Motioneye can relatively easily be installed in a docker container in Ubuntu following this instruction:

And I am happy to announce that I managed to get to startup motioneye in a docker container in Ubuntu today.

And as a consequence will you not be condemned and punished by a political referendum soon? Especially if you do this to a Swiss, since are not majority of Swiss against stock market speculations and scalping with people on a budget? And people in Switzerland are known for a lot of political referendums, since we have direct democracy in this country.

And Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org will fight up to the European Court of Human Rights against people who do stock market speculation and scalping with the products which are mentioned on www.petergamma.org. And if they do not have yet the legal basis there to do so, he will fight for it.

What is a scalper?

A scalper is someone who buys something and resells it at a price far above the initial cost. For instance some says: “He got theater tickets through a scalper”: Someone who buys tickets to an event in order to resell them at a profit. And is it not also scalping if you take reviews from this site to make out of it a new product offer, and sell it for a higher price? We doubt that you will be successful with it. Since Peter Gamma will review your product and will user not come back to www.petergamma.org after that?Edit
