One solution is NextCloudPi

  • It requires a Raspberry Pi.
  • I used a wired ethernet adapter to my Android phone and a router.
  • In the router I can see the ip Adress of my Android phone, my NextCloudPi and my PC.
  • This requires some time until everything is stable.
  • But it was the easiest way I could find to demolish th wall Google Inc. had built in after Android 4.4.
  • And these walls where that is was not possible anymore the write to the external SD card from Android phones.
  • And the second wall was that it was not possible anymore to access the external SD card from a PC over usb directy and read and write on it.

The second solution is the Pinephone

  • I tried to transfer files from my Pinephone to my PC and back over the external SD card.
  • I failed up to this date, but I am convinced that it is possible to do that.
  • But it requires some time for a Linux beginner to solve this problem.
  • The advantage of this solution is that it requires only an SD card and no Raspberry Pi, no router and now ethernet atapter.
