I am now happy with my micro SD card solution with and Android phone and Softmaker Office. I found a small SD card reader with USB-C that also plugs into the HP EliteDesk 800 G3. This way I don’t lose the micro SD card. I invested a lot of time in the Pinephone. LibreOffice runs on it now:

but I’ve given up. Softmaker for Android is used by users and has a forum, which is great.

LibreOffice on the Pinephone apparently has no users as far as I know. I had problems with usb-c adapters for the Pinephone. One of these adapters now works well with my Android phone. It has SD card slot, ethernet, and I can also charge through it. You can also use scrcpy (screencopy) as a remote desktop via ethernet. This is almost Linux phone convenience. I just don’t have samba sharing, it’s too tedious for me on Android.
What I forgot to mention is that Softmaker Android has support that is constructive and not destructive like at other places. And it has been on the market for a many year, which is a big advantage over the Pinephone with LibreOffice.
