Peter Gamma from www.petergamma.org invites the Neurokit2 developers again to attach all the sensors which are listed under www.petergamma.org to Neurokit 3, since Peter Gamma himself has given up this project & inherits it to who ever wants it

The project has become simpler now. We think we can do without Home Assistant & InfluxDB.

The core components are:

EEG, ECG, body temperature, treadmill, foot pod

  • OpenBCI or PyEEG
  • a curved treadmill with Raspberry Pi speed sensor
  • an open source foot pod as discussed previously
  • an EmotiBit for body temperature read out over BrainFlow to Python to an SQLite database
  • And all sensor data are stored via Python scripts to an SQLite database for further data analysis

Respiration rate:

  • a combination of respiratory rate estimation
  • a respiration belt sensor
  • and a spirometer
  • and averaging the data from these three devices, until it is accurate enough for clinical & research applications

Sleep tracker:

  • We did not find yet a good sleep tracker for our home lab which can also be used for for clinical & research applications
  • so we suggest to use:
  • A dreem 2 headband
  • a Muse S headband
  • Sleep Tracking With a 90$ Polar Wearable Verity Sense as described by Rob ter Horst.
  • And in the morning we can calculate an average of all the data over the hole night of all three sensors.

Peter Gamma has given this project up for himself, since it will be outdated soon. And he waits for an ESP32 developmental platform with EEG shield and Ubuntu 23.10 Mantic Minotaur as a base operating system with Home Assistant integration to come out to choose for his future Python projects.
